• Red Barn Equipment Sales — Oakdale / Central Valley. A smaller family-oriented dealer specializing in tractors, orchard/vineyard equipment, implements and repairs. Its current local review profile is very positive, although the number of reviews is small, so I'd regard that as supporting evidence rather than definitive proof.
• Garton Tractor, Inc. - Fresno — Central Valley. Garton is family-owned and has operated since 1954, with agricultural equipment, parts and service. Its published history emphasizes long-term relationships with agricultural customers.
• N&S Tractor — Yuba City and other Central Valley locations. A family-owned operation dating to 1954, with Case IH, New Holland, CLAAS and other agricultural equipment plus parts and field/service support.
• San Joaquin Tractor Co — Bakersfield / Southern Central Valley. Family-owned and focused heavily on agricultural customers. The BBB currently lists the company with an A+ rating, although BBB ratings should be considered alongside farmer references rather than as a substitute for them.

A particularly interesting one: Coastal Tractor

Coastal Tractor Company is worth mentioning separately. It has operated on California's Central Coast since 1971, is family-owned and operated for three generations, and is run by people with farming backgrounds. A trade publication specifically reported that the dealership's family ownership and understanding of the intense demands on Central Coast growers are central to its approach.

That farmer-to-dealer connection is useful: for a commercial grower, I'd generally put more weight on how well a dealer handles parts availability, emergency field service, technician quality and downtime during harvest than on the sales experience alone.

If you're buying used equipment

Two smaller family operations are also interesting:

• Adam Equipment — Santa Maria. Family-owned since 2000 and focused on auction-sourced used tractors and equipment. The company says it inspects and services machines before sale; its published customer rating is 4.9/5.
• Colombo Tractor — Madera. Family-owned and focused specifically on used orchard, vineyard and specialty-crop equipment, including consignment.

One caveat: I wouldn't interpret review scores alone as “farmers trust this dealer.” A handful of online reviews can be unrepresentative. For a serious farm purchase, I'd ask the dealer for 2–3 references from growers running equipment similar to yours, and specifically ask those growers about warranty handling, parts delays, technician quality and what happened when a machine went down during harvest.
