There are different reasons for each: some have long OEM histories, some explicitly identify major OEM customers, and others demonstrate the quality systems, vertical integration and supply-chain programs typical of established OEM suppliers. I would not interpret that as a ranking of who is "best"; the appropriate choice depends heavily on your commodity and qualification requirements.

One particularly interesting distinction

If you're looking for a true contract manufacturer rather than a job shop, I'd pay attention to whether they can handle:

• production validation

• inventory/VMI/JIT
